Managing your restaurant & team

Update your restaurant details, control who has access, and manage administrators.

This section covers your restaurant's own details and the people who can work on it — how to add teammates, who's allowed to do what, and how to make someone an administrator.

Restaurant information

Under Restaurant Information you can view and update:

  • Restaurant name
  • Restaurant Mail — your restaurant's public contact email, shown on your menus. This is not the email you use to log in to Menju.
  • Domain — your website address.
  • Address details — Country, Address, City, and Zip-code.

Your Restaurant-id is also shown here. It's read-only, and you'll need it when inviting teammates (see below).

Only administrators can edit these fields.

Roles: users and administrators

Menju has two levels of access per restaurant:

Can…Connected userAdministrator
Create and update menus
View restaurant information
Save menu design & script settings
Edit restaurant information
Manage users and administrators
Set the restaurant access password
Manage the subscription
Delete the restaurant

Whoever creates a restaurant automatically becomes its first administrator.

Adding a teammate

Menju doesn't send email invitations. Instead, your teammate joins using two pieces of information you give them:

  1. As an administrator, open Restaurant Access and set a password for your restaurant.
  2. Share your Restaurant-id and that password with your teammate.
  3. Your teammate creates a Menju account, then goes to Connected Restaurants → Connect to Restaurant and enters both values.

Once connected, they can start creating and updating menus straight away.

Requires Menju Pro. Setting a restaurant access password — and accepting new users through it — needs an active Menju Pro subscription. See Plans & billing.

Managing users and administrators

User Administration lists everyone connected to your restaurant, with an Admin badge next to administrators. For each person you can:

  • Add as Admin — promote them to administrator (requires Menju Pro).
  • Remove Admin — return them to a regular connected user.
  • Remove User — disconnect them from the restaurant entirely.

Two safeguards apply: a restaurant must always keep at least one administrator and at least one user, so Menju blocks removing the last of either.

Deleting a restaurant

Administrators can delete a restaurant from the Delete Restaurant section. You'll be asked to confirm, and Menju then switches you to another of your restaurants. Treat this as permanent — don't do it unless you're sure.

Good to know

  • Changing your restaurant's Domain matters if you've embedded the menu — the script verification checks that domain. See Adding your menu to your website.
  • A single Menju account can be connected to several restaurants and switch between them — see Account & settings.
