Understanding your analytics
See how many guests open your menu, when they do it, and which dishes draw interest.
Once your menu is live on your website, Menju tracks how guests interact with it. The Analytics page shows you how often your menu is opened, how that changes over time, where those views come from, and which dish tags you use most.
What the numbers mean
| Metric | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Amount of clicks | How many times your menu was opened in a given week |
| Amount of unique clicks | How many distinct visitors opened it (repeat opens by the same person count once) |
| Menu views by source | Whether guests opened the menu on your own website or through a shared link |
| Used tags | Which dish tags appear most often across your recent menus |
Comparing clicks with unique clicks is useful: a big gap means the same guests are coming back to check your menu repeatedly.
The Analytics page
The page has four panels:
- Amount of clicks — a bar chart of weekly menu opens over the last few weeks.
- Click trends — an area chart plotting total clicks against unique clicks over time. Use the dropdown to switch between the Last 10, 20, or 30 Weeks.
- Menu views by source — a bar chart splitting views between Via script on your website and Via shared link. This shows whether your embedded menu or your shared link is doing the heavy lifting.
- Used tags — a chart counting how often each dish tag appears across your recent finished menus. Handy for spotting how varied your menu really is.
Your dashboard chart
The start page also shows a Menu Views chart — a quick weekly view of menu opens, so you can see how the current week is going without opening the full Analytics page.
What's included in each plan
Most analytics are a Menju Pro feature:
| Panel | Standard | Pro |

| Amount of clicks | — | ✅ |
| Click trends | — | ✅ |

On the Standard plan the Pro panels are still visible but shown blurred with placeholder data, alongside an option to upgrade. See Plans & billing.
Good to know
- Analytics are per restaurant. If you manage more than one, switch restaurants to see each one's numbers — see Account & settings.
- If you're not connected to a restaurant yet, the page will prompt you to set one up first.
- New restaurants won't have data straight away — figures appear once guests start opening your menu.
